I Can't Find the eBay Picture Services Boxes!

NOTE! Before following these instructions, go to

Changing your Web Browser's Java, Active X, and Other Misc. Settings

and follow the simple steps to make sure your web browser has been properly configured to use eBay Picture Services!

Recently, eBay made some changes to the Sell Your Item page. These changes have more tightly integrated the eBay Picture Services feature into the Selling process.

The following instructions will walk you through the process.

Start at the top of any eBay web page. There you will find the eBay Navigation Bar. Click on the link to start the process of selling and item. (Fig. 1)

When you have selected and clicked on an appropriate category, you will be directed automatically to the next step of the process, which, if you haven't done so already,  is to “sign in” Fig 2.

You do so by entering your eBay User Id and Password in the boxes provided and clicking the “Sign In” button.

eBay will then automatically move to the next page of the process. The top of the page will look like fig. 3

Scroll down past the eBay Category and the Description sections to the section for eBay Picture Services (fig. 4).

If the Pictures section of your Sell Your Item page looks like Fig. 4, click the link that states “Try our full featured version…”

This will take you down to a link at the bottom of the Sell Your Item page. There is a link there that states, “Try our full featured eBay Picture Services version.”  (Fig. 5) Click that link.

NOTE! You may next be prompted to download and install the “iPix Rimfire ActiveX Control.” (Fig 6.)

Click “yes” and wait for the applet to download and install (only seconds).
You will need this applet in order to take full advantage of iPix services. The ActiveX control will not harm your computer in any way.

The Sell Your Item page will reload. Scroll back down to the Pictures section and you should see something like Fig. 7

Now you simply select the pictures you want to upload for your listing by clicking on each of the boxes, locating the image files on your hard drive and clicking on them!
If this process did not work as shown above, you may need to change some of the Internet security preferences for your browser.

If you are using Internet Explorer, you should click on Tools, Internet Options, and then the Security tab.

In the box displayed, make sure you have selected "enable" for all of the options for safe ActiveX controls.

Once you have done so, click OK and OK again and begin again at the top of the instructions on this page.
